There's some gorgeous writing here. the rough kiss and the quiet rebuke and the entire second paragraph ...
The pacing and energy of the very last paragraph was wonderful; it made your ending seem prophetically inevitable.
I liked the idea of Sirius doing raw, spell-less magic.
My favorite pictures were the last two. I loved Remus standing in his socks in a sea of letters he wrote himself. The last close-up is lovely. Sirius' expression speaks volumes.
I liked having the pictures interspersed with the story. It helps me to remember how very young they were when this all happened. It's ironic that Sirius is thinking the same thing (so young) about his attacker.
I am going to try to leave comments both places...

There was a lot to love about this, but I was especially intrigued by little details such as wands overheating (which makes perfect sense, though I'd never thought of it before) and carving out the book as a trove for momentous. That last bit said a lot about Sirius' character, too.
This was just wonderful!

Date: 2016-06-17 08:49 pm (UTC)Really enjoyed this story, especially Sirius' paranoia is brilliantly done, and there's loads of very lovely writing. The recurring idea of small things changing everything is beautiful. And loved the last picture especially, their expressions and how serious they are, but how boyish too. Excellent job all round! Couldn't help thinking at the very end "...and millions of children will miss out on an epic seven novel adventure series, and an entire fandom will never come into existence..." haha!
